On court today…

• A battle of 2 Grand Slam champions takes place on Philippe Chatrier. Novak Djokovic looks to extend his 41-match winning streak against 2009 US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro.

• 2 of the 3 Serbians to reach the 3rd round at this year’s Roland Garros are looking to advance to the round of 16. As well as Djokovic, Janko Tipsarevic takes on Roger Federer on Suzanne Lenglen. This is the first time in the Open Era that there have been 3 Serbian men into the 3rd round at a Grand Slam.

• Stanislas Wawrinka is looking to set up an all-Swiss clash against Federer in the round of 16. He will have to overcome Jo-Wilfried Tsonga if he is to progress to the next round. If Federer loses and Wawrinka wins, it will be the first time since 2002 Wimbledon that a Swiss man has progressed further at a Grand Slam than Federer.

• Steve Darcis is one of the 6 qualifiers to reach the 3rd round at Roland Garros. This equals the Open Era record for the most qualifiers through to the 3rd round at any Grand Slam event. 6 qualifiers also reached the 3rd round here in 1991.

• 3 of the 5 Spanish men to reach the 3rd round at this year’s Roland Garros are on court today. David Ferrer, Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Albert Montanes are bidding to maintain Spain’s record of having at least 3 men through to the round of 16 here every year since 1997.
