On court today…

• Lukas Lacko, the only qualifier left in the men’s singles main draw, takes on former Australian Open champion Rafael Nadal on Rod Laver. Lacko is one of just 9 players to win a set off Nadal 6-0.

• A battle of the big servers takes place on Hisense Arena when John Isner meets Feliciano Lopez. Isner finished 2nd on the 2011 ace leaders list with 811 unreturnable serves, Lopez was just behind in third with 734.

• Aussie youngster Bernard Tomic – the only teenager left in the men’s singles draw – graces Rod Laver Arena once again today. He faces the dangerous Alexandr Dolgopolov, a quarterfinalist on his debut here last year.

• Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka, the only 2 Swiss players to start in this year’s men’s main draw, are both in 3rd round action today. The last time a Swiss player progressed further than Federer at a Grand Slam event was at 2002 Wimbledon. Marc Rosset (2nd round), George Bastl (3rd round), and Michel Kratochvil (round of 16) all made it further than Federer, who lost in the 1st round to Mario Ancic.
